Move to Teachvix from another platform
You don't have to start from zero. Your student list, each student's course access and end date, and your chapters and lessons can all come with you — in four steps.
1. Move your students
The move-over wizard in your dashboard reads the student file you exported from the other platform (CSV). You check the column matching, then import in one go.
- Each student's course access and end date are kept
- You preview before anything is written, and importing twice doesn't create duplicates
- Importing sends no email
2. Rebuild your courses
Paste your course's table of contents and it's read into chapters and lessons, which you can correct in a preview. Then drop in your video files and they're matched to lessons by file name.
- Chapters and lessons are created in one go, after what's there — nothing is overwritten
- Videos are matched by file name; unclear files are left for you to choose
- Nothing uploads until you confirm the matches
3. Invite students to activate
Students you bring over don't have a password yet. One click in your dashboard sends them an activation email; they follow the link, set a password and see their courses.
- Activation links last 14 days
- A student isn't invited again within 7 days
- You can see who was invited and who hasn't activated
4. Switch over
Switch addresses only after the new school passes your checks: confirm videos, sign-in, access and checkout work, then send the activation emails, and point your domain last.
- Keep the old site until the new one is confirmed
- Set up your domain before inviting students — the activation email uses the school's live address
- Subscriptions on the old platform aren't stopped for you; cancel them there yourself
What it can't do yet
- It doesn't move old orders or invoice records
- It doesn't transfer students' card details (and can't get them)
- It doesn't move students' learning progress
