Outbound webhooks push events happening on your school (order paid, student enrolled, new Q&A, new community post, and more) to your own URL in real time — connect Zapier, Make, or a custom service, no official plugin required. This is a Pro-plan feature.
Setup
Go to Settings → Webhooks:
1. Enter the URL that will receive events (e.g. the Catch Hook URL from Zapier's "Webhooks by Zapier").
2. Check which event types you want to subscribe to.
3. After saving, a Signing Secret is generated — copy it to your receiving end to verify signatures.
Signature verification
Each push includes an X-Webhook-Signature header, an HMAC-SHA256 of the entire JSON payload using your Signing Secret. Recompute it the same way on your end and compare, to confirm the request really came from this platform. Failed pushes retry automatically with exponential backoff, and every result is logged for troubleshooting.
Refund events
order.refunded is sent when an order is refunded, whether through "Refund", "Mark as refunded manually", or a full refund made in the Stripe dashboard that syncs back automatically. It includes the order number, amount, currency, courses and buyer email. Your own test orders never send it.
Subscription renewals
Each successful Stripe Connect renewal also sends order.paid, with the same fields as a checkout (including orderId and buyerEmail) plus autoRenewal: true, so you can tell a first purchase from a renewal.
