Taiwan Gateways (ECPay / NewebPay / PayUni)

How to apply for and set up ECPay, NewebPay, and PayUni.

On this page

ECPay (綠界), NewebPay (藍新), and PayUni (統一金流) are Taiwan's three local gateways, all charging in New Taiwan dollars — enable whichever one you have an account with. All three support the payment methods Taiwanese buyers expect (credit card, ATM transfer, convenience-store barcode payment, and more). Contact each provider's own sales team for their fee schedule.

To set one up, go to School settings → Payments, click "Add payment method", pick your gateway from the "Accepts TWD" group and follow the panel's three steps: "Prepare your account", "Enter your keys", "Turn on and test". Step 2 takes the three fields described below for each gateway. Finally, switch on "Offer at checkout" in step 3 — students only see the gateway at checkout once it's on; saving the keys alone doesn't list it.

ECPay (綠界)

After applying for an ECPay merchant account, log in to their merchant dashboard → "系統開發管理" (System Development) → "金鑰資訊" (Key Information) page to find your Merchant ID, HashKey, and HashIV, and paste them into the matching fields in step 2.

Enter your own live keys — not the public test (sandbox) keys from ECPay's tutorials. Those keys are visible to everyone, so anyone could forge a payment notice with them; a live school does not accept payments signed with them, so the method won't appear at checkout even though the card may show "Not tested yet". Also, "simulated payment" in the ECPay back office only works in their test environment — it never unlocks a course on a live school.

NewebPay (藍新)

After applying for a NewebPay merchant account, log in to their merchant dashboard → "商店資訊" (Store Info) → "介接設定" (Integration Settings) page to find your Merchant ID, HashKey, and HashIV, and paste them into the matching fields in step 2.

PayUni (統一金流)

After applying for a PayUni merchant account, log in via Member → 商店列表 (Store List) → select your store → "介接設定" (Integration Settings) page to find your Merchant ID, HashKey, and HashIV, and paste them into the matching fields in step 2.

When a student pays by ATM or at a convenience store

If a student picks ATM transfer or a convenience-store code/barcode on the gateway's page, the gateway first issues them an account number or payment code — the order isn't paid yet:

  • The student's order page shows the payment details: bank code and account on separate lines, each with its own copy button; convenience-store barcodes are drawn as 3 scannable barcodes. The amount due and the deadline are shown too.
  • The student gets a "payment details" email, so closing the gateway page doesn't lose it; they can also get back to the order page from Orders & Billing → "View payment details".
  • In your order list, the order is tagged "Payment code issued · due …".
  • Once the student pays, the gateway notifies us and the course unlocks automatically — nothing for you to confirm.
  • The deadline is the one the gateway sends back; an order still unpaid after it is cancelled automatically.

Students can't pay until setup is finished

There's no simulated payment on a live school: a payment method whose keys aren't all filled in doesn't appear at checkout, and if no method is ready at all, students who try to pay see "This payment method isn't available yet — please choose another one." and can't complete the purchase. Once you're set up, use "Test your payment setup" further down School settings → Payments to run one real minimum-amount payment and confirm the money actually arrives before you start selling.
